Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG is an expansion of the author's earlier adventure pack, and it commits hard to one theme. Everything in it is medieval fantasy: the weapons, the armor, the trinkets, the bosses, even the divine blessings you earn, all balanced for this pack rather than inherited from wherever the mod came from.
Combat is the first thing you notice. It has been rebuilt with proper attack animations and a dodge, so fights are about timing rather than clicking, and enemies grow stronger the further from spawn you travel. Character building runs through a deep skill tree plus origins, so two players who start together end up genuinely different, and two magic mods give you real utility in and out of a fight.
The world backs that up: overworld, Nether and End generation are all overhauled for the fantasy theme, with hundreds of dungeons and five new dimensions to work through. Over 200 quests carry story and lore, and a quest shop gives your coins somewhere to go. The part groups remember is the kingdom system, where you become a monarch and defend your holding from invaders. It runs on Forge 1.19.2.
Hosting Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG
A kingdom gives a group something shared
Most RPG packs make everyone a wandering adventurer, which on a server means five people doing five separate things. The kingdom system here gives a group a fixed place that matters and something to defend together, which tends to keep a server sociable rather than scattered. It is worth agreeing early whether you are building one kingdom together or one each, because that decision changes how much of the map ends up loaded.
8 GB, and where it goes
We set 8 GB for a group of around six. At around 301 entries this is a large pack, and the overhauled generation across three vanilla dimensions plus five added ones means new terrain is expensive. The scaling difficulty also pushes players outward, since better enemies mean better loot, so this is not a pack where the group settles down and stops exploring.
Pregeneration is worth the time here, and the pack ships no tool for it, so add one to the server and cover a radius of the overworld before you invite people.
Combat is the tick cost
Rebuilt combat with animations and dodging runs more logic per entity than vanilla swings do. That means the heaviest moments on this server are fights: a boss with adds, or several players clearing a dungeon at once. If you see the server dip during an encounter and recover afterwards, that is the pack working rather than a fault, and lowering simulation-distance buys back more headroom than view-distance does.
Java, performance and the Lite option
Forge 1.19.2 means Java 17, selected for you at install. The author includes performance mods deliberately and also publishes a Lite version focused on frame rate, which is worth knowing if some of your players are on older machines, since the group is limited by whoever has the weakest computer.
Kingdoms
A shared thing to defend
The monarch system gives a group one place that matters, which keeps players together rather than scattered.
Difficulty
Enemies scale with distance
The further your group travels from spawn, the stronger enemies get, so exploring never becomes safe.
Load
Fights cost more than distance
Animated dodge combat runs heavier per entity, so boss encounters are the server's peak moments.
