How much RAM does a Prominence II server need?

8 GB is a comfortable size for around six players. The pack carries over 650 mods plus a lot of custom quest, NPC and structure content, and groups playing a campaign tend to keep moving into new terrain rather than settling in one base, so generation stays part of the load. Two or three friends playing through the story can sit below that without trouble.

How do I pregenerate the world?

Prominence II includes Chunky, so the commands work immediately. Run `/chunky world minecraft:overworld`, then `/chunky center 0 0`, `/chunky radius 5000` and `/chunky start`. The radius is in blocks. Watch it with `/chunky progress` and pause it with `/chunky pause` if players want to log in while it runs. Do this before you start the campaign, not during it.

Can we keep our world when updating to a new version?

The world will load, but read the release notes first. The v4 update specifically warns that items left inside Nether Chested chests are lost, so empty them beforehand. More importantly, v4 rebuilt the questline and the talent tree, so a group partway through the v3 story will find their campaign state inconsistent. Finish on the version you started, or begin fresh on the newer one.

Is there a Forge version of Prominence II?

No. Hasturian Era is Fabric only, and there is no Forge or NeoForge edition of it. That matters when your players install it, because picking a Forge profile by mistake gives them a client that cannot connect. Also check they have Hasturian Era rather than the older Prominence II RPG pack, which is a separate project by the same author and a different mod list.

How many players should a Prominence II server have?

Small groups work best, and that is a design point rather than a technical limit. Quests, the talent tree and the story campaign are built around a party playing through together, so a large public server gets an awkward mix of people at very different points in the narrative. Four to six friends who intend to finish is the shape this pack is built for.

Can players grief each other?

There is no land claim or protection system in the pack, so technically yes. For the small co-op groups this pack is aimed at that is rarely a problem, but if you plan to open the server beyond people you know, use a whitelist. Backups are the other safeguard, and worth keeping regardless, since campaign progress is harder to rebuild than a base.

Prominence II: Hasturian Era is ElocinDev's RPG pack, and it is the one on this list that behaves least like a sandbox. It has a written story. You explore the Kingdom of Vaaz, talk to voice-acted NPCs, take quests from a custom questing system and work through two campaigns toward endgame artifact forging and mythic boss fights.

Character building is the other half. Instead of classes, there is a talent tree of fates, passive talents, active abilities and stat points, so two players on the same server end up genuinely different. Mobs scale with your level, gear is custom rather than vanilla, and transmogrification exists so you are not stuck looking like your stats.

That changes the shape of a server. A Prominence world is a co-op campaign with a beginning and an end, usually for a small group who plan to finish it, rather than a base that runs for a year. When the story is done, most groups start a fresh save on a new build instead of continuing. The pack is Fabric only on Minecraft 1.20.1, with over 650 mods. It suits people who want to play through something together.

Chunky is already installed, so use it

Unlike the ATM packs, Prominence II ships Chunky, so pregeneration needs nothing added:

The radius is in blocks, not chunks. /chunky progress reports how it is going, and /chunky pause stops it when players want the server responsive. Doing this before the campaign starts removes most of the hitching people feel while traveling between quest locations.

Empty your Nether chests before a major update

The v4 release notes carry a specific warning that has cost people their inventories: take everything out of Nether Chested chests before updating, or the contents go with the old build. Back up first regardless.

The wider point about v4 is that the questline and talent tree were rebuilt for the Kingdom of Vaaz update. A v3 world will load, but a group mid-campaign will find the story underneath them has changed. Finishing on v3 or starting fresh on v4 is less painful than migrating halfway.

Fabric, Java and what is not included

This is a Fabric pack and there is no Forge or NeoForge edition, so do not try to match it against a Forge server build. Minecraft 1.20.1 means Java 17, which the installer picks for you. The pack ships no land claim system, which is rarely an issue for a small co-op group but does mean an open server has no protection of its own.
