All the Mods 10: To the Sky is the ATM Team taking their current kitchen sink and dropping it into the void. You start with a tree, a single block and nothing else, and the entire ATM10 mod list is still there waiting for you to earn your way back to it.

That inversion changes how the pack plays. In ATM10 proper, the Allthemodium ore chain is something you go and mine. Here every resource has to be manufactured, so the early game is about building the loops that turn nothing into something, and the mid game is about scaling those loops until the pack's usual tech and magic content becomes reachable. The quests are there to guide you, but the ATM Team keep them optional, so a group that knows what it is doing can ignore them entirely.

It is a skyblock for people who already like kitchen sinks rather than a beginner's skyblock, and it rewards a group that enjoys splitting up the automation work. It runs on NeoForge 1.21.1, the same base as ATM10, so it suits groups who want that mod list with a much harder opening.

Hosting All the Mods 10: To the Sky

8 GB, matching what the pack asks for

We set 8 GB, which lines up with the ATM Team's own guidance of 6 to 8 GB for this pack. That figure is doing the same job as it does on ATM10: this is a large mod list, and the registries and recipes cost memory whether or not your platform is big yet.

Skyblock changes what the server is doing

The void is cheap. There is no terrain being generated as players travel, no structures appearing, and no reason to pregenerate anything, so the usual worldgen advice does not apply and the pack ships no pregeneration tool.

What replaces it is density. Everything your group builds sits in a small number of chunks that never unload, and those chunks end up holding far more machinery per block than a normal world ever would. A mature skyblock platform is one of the heaviest things you can put on a Minecraft server, and it gets heavier steadily rather than in spikes.

Keep the automation running

That density makes chunk loading matter more here than on the overworld version. FTB Chunks ships with the pack and defaults to force-loading only while a team member is online, which on a skyblock means your entire resource generation stops when the last person logs off. Set force_load_mode to ALWAYS in the FTB Chunks server config under world/serverconfig, and use spark to check what is actually costing time:

/spark profiler --timeout 180

Java and updating

1.21.1 means Java 21, chosen for you. The pack updates regularly like its parent. Read the changelog for removed mods before jumping, because on a skyblock a removed mod can take out a step in a production chain rather than just some decorative blocks.

Density

Everything in a few chunks

A skyblock base concentrates all your machinery into chunks that never unload, which is the real cost here.

Pregen

Nothing to generate

The world is void, so there is no terrain cost and no reason to pregenerate anything.

RAM

8 GB, in line with the pack

The ATM Team suggest 6 to 8 GB, and the larger figure gives a maturing platform room.
