Can I switch modpacks later?

Yes. Installing a different pack from the Modpacks tab replaces the server files. Take a backup first if you want to come back to the old world.

How much RAM does a modpack server need?

It depends on the pack, which is why every page here names a figure. A light pack runs on 4 GB, a kitchen-sink pack wants 8 to 10 for a small group. The cart opens on the number we recommend.

Do my friends need to install the pack too?

Yes. Everyone installs the same pack and the same build in their launcher, then connects to the address on the Overview tab. A client on a different build is refused at the door.
