GIANTS Software rolled out Patch 1.21 for Farming Simulator 25 on July 28, 2026, and it's the kind of update dedicated-server owners should actually plan for. The changelog covers base-game fixes, a handful of tweaks to nearly every paid pack, and a modding-side change that matters if you run a mod-heavy server.
What's in Patch 1.21
The base-game changelog is short but practical. On the Xbox side, GIANTS fixed a bug where larger mod downloads were failing on some network configurations, which quietly blocked players from joining mod-heavy servers. On every platform, headers on header trailers no longer collide with certain equipment combinations and drag the trailer around, wheels stop clipping into the ground or getting stuck on curbs at low speeds, vegetable pallets finally accept onions, and the Moza Farming Control System gets improved key bindings. There's also a fix for mods being downloaded in the background mid-session, which had been causing stutters and occasional session drops on busy servers.

On the modding SDK side, GIANTS added XML documentation files to the SDK folder, cleared a warning that fired on selling stations without a wood pallet input, fixed default values in the objectStorage XML schema, and repaired motion path loading from modDesc.xml. If you write your own mods or vet mods before pushing them to a server, that's a genuinely useful set of cleanups.
Precision Farming: the fix that matters most on servers
The Precision Farming pack (v1.1.0.0) got the meatiest tweaks. Four fixes in particular are worth calling out:
- Tramlines are now reset when buying a farmland. Previously, tramline state persisted across owners, which caused ghost sprayer sections to trip on freshly bought fields.
- Field info display yield calculation now accounts for the seed rate. The forecast numbers you see in-game were understating yield when players ran non-default seed rates.
- Fixed initial section valid/uncovered state on sprayers with an empty tank, which could cause wrong application rates on the first pass after refilling.
- Manual soil sampling now correctly affects the environmental score.
If your server runs Precision Farming as a shared mode, these fixes remove a real friction point where players saw yield numbers that didn't match reality. Reset your world after the patch if you want the tramline fix to apply cleanly to older fields; new farmland purchases will pick it up automatically.
DLC touch-ups you'll notice on Mercedes and Sky
Almost every paid pack got attention:
- Mercedes-Benz Trucks Pack 1.3.0.0: brake sound looping fixed, AI helpers can now unload hooklift containers and the Unimog U 1800–2400 correctly, license plate position fixed on the Mercedes-Benz Arocs.
- Emergency Pack 1.0.1.0: UI scrolling fix when using a controller with the pack active.
- Highlands Fishing Pack 1.4.0.0: visual model adjustments, sound volume and missing gear-shift sounds fixed on several machines, seat suspension camera fix on the New Holland T8000.
- MacDon Pack 1.2.0.0: harvesting on uneven ground improved.
- Plains and Prairies Pack 1.4.0.0: visual model adjustments, steering angle improved on the Versatile DeltaTrack.
- Sky Agriculture Pack 1.1.0.0: visual model adjustments, foliage bending added for the Sky HR 300 (3M), and work area effects fixed on the Sky P100.
- Vredo Pack 1.2.0.0: Vredo bumper decal added to the Profi XL 18, longer decal draw distance on the VT4556.

The Sky Agriculture Pack in particular has been a hot seller since its June 30 launch, so the P100 work-area fix and HR 300 foliage bending are the kind of polish that regular users have been asking for on the forums.
What this means for your dedicated server
If you host an FS25 server, treat 1.21 as a real update window, not a hotfix drop.
- Update the dedicated server binary before your players do, or clients on 1.21 will fail to authenticate against a 1.20 host. GIANTS's dedicated server is a separate download from the game client and doesn't auto-update.
- Take a save backup first. The Precision Farming tramline reset is the kind of change that tends to invalidate one or two edge-case saves per hundred; a backup lets you roll back if a player reports weird field state after the patch.
- Bump all installed DLC packs on the server host as well. Every pack that appears in the changelog above got a version bump, and a mismatch between server and client pack versions is a common cause of "unable to join" errors that read as a network issue in the log.
- Warn players about the shader-recompile stutter on first launch. GIANTS calls it out in the patch notes and it hits harder with heavy mod loadouts. If your community's first-time-in complaints spike after the update, that's the cause and it clears on the second launch.
- Test mod sync in a small session first. The background-download fix should be a strict improvement, but any change to how mods stream is worth verifying with two or three players before opening the server back up.

Is Patch 1.21 worth updating for?
For most servers, yes, and quickly. The mod-download-in-background fix alone removes a frustrating class of mid-session hitches, and the Precision Farming yield-display fix stops one of the most-reported UI bugs from the community. There's nothing here that risks a mass save-corruption event or forces a wipe. The main watchout is the version-mismatch lockout while your server is still on 1.20 and clients have already auto-updated: shorter maintenance window = happier players.
