The Conan Exiles Enhanced June Update dropped on June 9, 2026 as patch 1.2.0, and it is one of the most server-owner-friendly drops Funcom has shipped this year. Chest quick-stack hotkey is the headline for players. For anyone running a dedicated server, the wins underneath are bigger: wild NPC populations now spawn in seconds instead of the old up-to-20-minute startup wait, decoration loading no longer hitches your framerate, and a long list of Isle of Siptah dedicated-server bugs (tavern barkeepers, map markers, GameMapSettings persistence) finally got cleaned up.

Release Date

Patch 1.2.0 went live on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 on PC, followed by June Hotfix 1.2.1 on June 11 to fix a handful of regressions the main patch introduced. Both are on the Live branch, no opt-in required.

Chest Quick-Stack: The Headline Player Feature

The community has wanted this for years. With a single hotkey, you can now transfer matching items from your inventory directly into nearby chests without opening any of them. It works on placed chests and crafting stations, slots items into existing stacks first, and respects your filtering setup.

For a heavily-modded RP server with two dozen storage chests in every base, this is a quality-of-life win that meaningfully changes how players spend their session time. Inventory management used to be a sink. It is now a single keypress.

Server-Side Wins: The Real Story for Hosts

This is where 1.2.0 quietly earns its number. Five fixes that anyone running a Conan Exiles server has hit:

  • Wild NPC population spawn time slashed. Funcom flagged that dedicated servers could take up to 20 minutes to fully populate wild NPCs after a restart. After 1.2.0, NPCs spawn in much faster on startup. Players hitting the world right after a scheduled restart no longer find empty Exiled Lands.
  • Decoration loading no longer hitches your server. Performance loading placed decorations from the database has been overhauled. If your server hosts heavily-decorated bases (every roleplay server, every long-running PvE), the hitches when a player rides into a busy area are gone.
  • GameMapSettings persists across server restarts. Map and gameplay setting overrides on your server config no longer get reset on reboot. If you have been manually re-applying settings after every restart, that is over.
  • Tavern barkeepers and patrons spawn correctly on Isle of Siptah dedicated servers. A long-standing bug where the tavern stayed empty on Siptah dedicated boxes is fixed. If you run an Isle of Siptah server, this is the fix you have been waiting on.
  • Map markers display correctly on dedicated servers. Another Siptah-specific bug where map markers refused to render on dedicated has been resolved.

And one general server-wide change: incremental garbage collection frametime cap dropped from 50ms to 25ms. The practical effect is less server lag impact on player input and movement responsiveness during peak load. Tickrate-bound servers feel noticeably tighter.

Combat, Quality of Life, and Visuals

  • Take All on large loot bags no longer makes items invisible on servers with expansive databases. The relog workaround is dead.
  • Thralls no longer freeze upright after Purges or Surges.
  • Dye Station transfers now go to empty slots instead of storage, and gamepad navigation through it is much cleaner.
  • Combat balance. Black Corsair Elite stats adjusted, Zanjil of Shem spawn frequency reduced and stat errors corrected, Star Metal Bow gets its metallic finish back.
  • Visuals. Stormglass yellow tint reduced, brimstone node saturation tweaked across both maps, Vanir Armor gets a more grounded metallic finish, fur materials look better across the board.
  • Controller users can favorite servers from the browser, mouse cursor now hides during controller play, D-pad menu navigation works again.

Modding and Mod Compatibility

Funcom continues to invest in the modding stack:

  • Versioned serialization is back on, which keeps mods compatible across smaller engine updates.
  • DevKit version now surfaces in modinfo.json, so the server can warn players when their installed mod version does not match the server's expected version. No more vague desync crashes.
  • Standalone modded maps can use custom database names on dedicated servers.
  • UTF-8 and UTF-16 encoded modinfo.json is supported, fixing a long-standing source of "corrupted mod" warnings on non-English systems.
  • Preliminary Perforce source control plugin support in the DevKit.

If you host a modded Conan Exiles server (Age of Calamitous, EEWA, Pippi), the mod-version-warning is the headline.

June Hotfix 1.2.1 (June 11): Follow-Up Stability

Two days after 1.2.0, Funcom shipped Hotfix 1.2.1 to reintroduce a handful of fixes that had been reverted from the main patch, plus three new regressions:

  • Placeables on stonebrick ceilings/wedges and Highland/Khitai roofs and foundations no longer lose stability and disappear.
  • Logging in while standing on a foundation no longer drops players through it.
  • Iron bars no longer display the cultist hood icon in inventories and crafting stations.

If you were on the fence about applying 1.2.0 because of the placeable-stability reports, 1.2.1 is your green light.

What This Means for Your Server

A short checklist before you push the update on your live server:

  • Back up your save and ServerSettings.ini before the restart. Always, but especially when GameMapSettings persistence behavior is changing under you.
  • Plan a maintenance window, even though wild NPC spawn time is dramatically faster than before. The world still needs a moment to come back online.
  • Warn modded servers. The new mod-version-warning is a feature, not a bug, but players will see it the first time a mod author has not yet rebuilt for 1.2.0. Expect a few day-one mod updates.
  • Watch your decoration-heavy areas. The decoration loading rewrite is great, but it is a rewrite. If you see any new edge cases on a busy roleplay server, report them while Funcom is still in active hotfix mode.
  • Expect a player spike. Big update + chest quick-stack going viral on community sites = your server is going to fill up. Have your RAM ceiling configured.

Verdict: A Patch Built for Server Owners

Funcom's recent updates have leaned heavily on community feedback, and 1.2.0 is the clearest proof yet. Chest quick-stack will end up on every Steam review. The 20-minute NPC spawn fix and the GameMapSettings persistence fix will not. But if you host servers, those are the changes that actually save you support tickets.

If you are still running on a 1.1.x-era server config and have been hoping a single update would clean up the Siptah and decoration headaches, this is it.
