Minecraft Bedrock Seed Finder

The /seed command is exclusive to Java Edition and has never been added to Bedrock. A server world also has no pause-menu seed display, because your client is connected to a world running somewhere else rather than hosting it. That leaves two places the seed can come from: the level-seed line in server.properties, or the world file itself, which is what this tool reads.

A Bedrock dedicated server keeps every world in a folder under /worlds. The active one is whichever folder name level-name in server.properties points at, which is "Bedrock level" on a fresh server. Inside that folder you will find level.dat next to a db folder. On a DoomHosting server, open the Files tab, go into the world folder, and use Download on level.dat.

No. The file is opened with the browser's own file API and parsed on your device. Nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored. You can load this page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works.

No, and it will tell you so if you try. Java stores its level.dat as gzipped big-endian NBT while Bedrock uses an uncompressed little-endian format with an 8-byte header, so they are not interchangeable. On Java you do not need a tool anyway: run /seed in game.

That is normal. A world seed is a signed 64-bit number, so roughly half of all randomly generated seeds come out negative. Use it exactly as shown, minus sign included, and it will generate the same world.

An empty level-seed just means the server generated a random world on first boot and never wrote the seed back into the file. That is the default behaviour, not a fault. The seed still exists inside the world, which is why you can recover it from level.dat.

No. The seed is fixed when the world is generated, and setting level-seed afterwards will not regenerate terrain that already exists. An existing world ignores the value completely. To play a different seed you generate a new world, and the old one can be kept alongside it.
