SCP: Secret Laboratory Server Hosting

Your server runs on dedicated Ryzen 9 hardware with NVMe storage, so full lobbies and back-to-back round restarts stay smooth. Setup is instant, the game updates from Steam every time the server starts, and full FTP access puts config_gameplay.txt, config_remoteadmin.txt and your whitelist in your own hands. DDoS protection is included, which matters the moment your server goes public, and support answers 24/7.

Yes. Add or remove RAM from the control panel whenever you need to, and the change applies after a quick restart. Your configs, bans and whitelist stay exactly where they are. If you are not sure how much you need, our RAM calculator gives you a starting point for your player count.

Yes. New orders are covered by our money-back guarantee if the server turns out not to be right for you. Tell support what went wrong first, though: the two most common SCP: Secret Laboratory setup mistakes are a config line missing its space after the colon and a port left off in Direct Connect, and both take a minute to fix.

Only servers verified by Northwood Studios appear in the public list. DoomHosting is not one of the hosts Northwood verifies automatically, so you apply yourself. Until yours is verified, players join with Direct Connect using your IP and port. To apply, fill in server_name, contact_email and serverinfo_pastebin_id, then run !verify static in the console. Our guide on how to verify your SCP: Secret Laboratory server covers every step. Approval is Northwood's decision.

The game ships with max_players set to 20, and you change it in config_gameplay.txt. Keep it at 60 or lower if you want a place in the public server list: Northwood removes verified servers that run more than 60 slots. More players use more memory, so check the RAM calculator before raising the limit a long way.

Open config_remoteadmin.txt in your server's config folder and add a line under Members with your SteamID64, written as - 76561198000000000@steam: owner. Delete the placeholder IDs that come in the file, otherwise the role assignments are ignored. Restart the server, then open Remote Admin in game to kick, ban and manage rounds.
