Minecraft Username & UUID Lookup

A Minecraft UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a permanent 32-character ID assigned to every Java Edition account. Unlike usernames, UUIDs never change — even if a player renames — so server plugins, whitelists, and ban lists use them to reliably identify players. UUIDs come in two common formats: dashed (with hyphens) and dashless (no hyphens). Most plugins accept either.

Yes — Minecraft skins are publicly viewable via Mojang's session servers, and our tool provides a direct download link to the raw skin PNG. Note that skins are created by their owners, so avoid re-uploading someone's personal skin as your own on public platforms.

Mojang removed their public name-history API in 2022, so the previous names of a player are no longer available from Mojang directly. Third-party trackers like NameMC may still display historical data.

Results are cached for 5 minutes to stay within Mojang's rate limits. If a player just changed their skin or username, you may see the old value briefly — try again after a few minutes.
