You need OP permissions to use commands in-game. See How to OP Yourself if you don't have OP.
What Can You Do With the Seed?
- Share it with friends so they can explore the same world in single player
- Use it to create a copy of your world
- Look up coordinates for structures like villages, temples, and biomes using tools like Chunkbase
Bedrock Edition
On Bedrock servers, use the same /seed command in the console or in-game with operator permissions.
