How to Find Your Minecraft Server Seed

The world seed is a code that determines how your Minecraft world is generated. Here's how to find it.

Via Server Console (No OP Needed)

  1. Go to your DoomHosting Panel.
  2. Open the Console tab.
  3. Type seed and press Enter.
  4. The seed will be displayed in the console output.

In-Game (OP Required)

  1. Join your server.
  2. Type /seed in the chat.
  3. The seed will appear in your chat window.

You need OP permissions to use commands in-game. See How to OP Yourself if you don't have OP.

What Can You Do With the Seed?

  • Share it with friends so they can explore the same world in single player
  • Use it to create a copy of your world
  • Look up coordinates for structures like villages, temples, and biomes using tools like Chunkbase

Bedrock Edition

On Bedrock servers, use the same /seed command in the console or in-game with operator permissions.
