World modifiers let you tune difficulty and rules per world. They are stored inside the .fwl file, so they apply to everyone who joins your server.
Combat
How hard enemies hit and how much health they have. Very easy softens fights, very hard makes them punishing.
Death penalty
What you lose on death. Casual keeps your items and skills, hardcore loses everything.
Resource rate
How much gathering and drops yield. More raises drops, much less slows progression.
Raids
How often base raid events trigger. None disables them, much more makes them frequent.
Portals
How portals work. Casual lets all items through including ore, no boss portals or no portals restrict travel.
No build cost
Build and craft without spending materials.
Player based raids
Raid events trigger from player progress instead of time.
Passive enemies
Enemies will not attack unless provoked.
No map
Disables the in-game map and position marker.
