How the SandboxCode works

7 Days to Die V3.0 replaced the long list of individual sandbox properties with one short code. Here is how to use it.

  1. 1

Pick your settings in the tabs above. Only settings you change from the default are written into the code, so it stays short.

  2. 2

Copy the generated code, or the full serverconfig.xml line.

  3. 3

Open your server's serverconfig.xml and set the SandboxCode property to your code.

  4. 4

Save, then start or restart the server. To tweak later, paste your code back in above and keep editing.

Migrating from a pre-3.0 serverconfig.xml

V3.0 removed about 30 gameplay properties from serverconfig.xml. Every one of them now lives inside the Sandbox Code. Find your old setting below, set it in the generator above, and copy the new code.
